Ohh Vapes of Scotland sells age-restricted products. You must be 18 or over to purchase from this site.
This age restriction notice applies to every order placed on Ohh Vapes of Scotland. Vaping products contain nicotine and are legally restricted to adults, so we build age checks into every stage of the buying journey — not just a tick-box at checkout. If you’re browsing on behalf of someone under 18, please note we cannot process or deliver that order under any circumstances.
Nicotine vaping products are age-restricted for good reason: they’re not intended for anyone who doesn’t already smoke or vape as an adult. As a retailer, we’re required to take reasonable, proportionate steps to stop underage sales, and we treat that as a baseline rather than a box-ticking exercise. That’s why this age restriction notice covers three separate checkpoints — at checkout, in transit, and at the door — rather than relying on a single tick-box early in the order process.
All customers must confirm they are 18 or over before completing an order. We use age verification checks at the point of purchase, in line with UK requirements for online retailers of age-restricted products under the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations. This check happens automatically and sits alongside our normal checkout process, so it adds very little extra time to placing an order.
Our couriers also carry out age verification (Challenge 25) on delivery. You will be asked to provide valid photo ID (passport, driving licence, or PASS card). If ID cannot be provided, or if the recipient appears under 25 and cannot prove they are over 18, the order will not be handed over and will be returned to us. We’d rather cause a minor inconvenience at the door than risk an age-restricted product reaching someone underage.
Couriers will accept a valid passport, a UK or EU photocard driving licence, or a PASS-accredited proof-of-age card. Photos of ID on a phone screen are not accepted — the physical document needs to be shown at the door. If nobody able to provide ID is available to accept delivery, we’d recommend arranging collection from a local depot instead, or having the order sent to a work address where ID can be shown.
Beyond the legal minimum, we train our small team to spot and query anything that looks off about an order — a delivery address that doesn’t match the billing details, repeat orders under different names to the same address, and so on. We’d rather ask a follow-up question and slow an order down than let something slip through. If you’re a parent or guardian with concerns about an order placed using your address or card details without your knowledge, get in touch straight away and we’ll investigate before the parcel goes out.
In short: this age restriction notice means you’ll confirm your age when you order, and confirm it again with photo ID when the parcel arrives, with couriers running a Challenge 25 check at the door. It’s not designed to catch anyone out — it’s a legal requirement we take seriously, and it protects both our customers and our licence to trade. Most adult customers find the whole process takes only a few extra seconds at each stage.
